DEAR GRANDPA

Folder:
ABSTRACT POEMS

         Today I saw

A grandpa and a grandma and their grandchildren on

         a commuter train.

Making plans to go to Crystal Lake to go swimming.

They were talking to the middle people.

         The mother.  The father.

         Three generations of

         a family.

         Three generations.

         A teardrop in my eye.

I look at them.  I think.

         I think about us.

We had some great times, we really did.

         Were you perfect?  No.

         Is that ok?  Yes.

Did you do the best you could?  Oh yeah!

         Grandpa,

I hope you are resting in peace.

         I hope you are.

I hope you are sleeping easy knowing that

you did a great job as a grandparent.

a really, really, really, great job.

         No, you were not perfect.

         But, nobody is perfect.

I am a people watcher as well. I always seem to zero in on Oler Mother's and daughters. when things were good with my Mom we were out alot together. I find myself wondering of these peoples relationships. You have done a great job here.

Blessings,
Lesa
