LATE TO MY WEDDING

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

        I was late.

      A situation, not great.

     My bride, this will hate.

         This is my fate.

My bride from, I'll want to hide.

I'll no longer glide, I'll crash.

     I'm late to my wedding.

I've got to get there soon.

Otherwise, my bride might choose another groom.

I won't be going along singing a wedding song.

     I'll get the blues.

     I'm late to my wedding.

I slept too late in my bed.

All these thohghts in my head.

I've got to get my car,

and go really, really, far.

    I'm late to my wedding.

She won't want to marry me.

She'll want a divorce.  I'm way off course.

She won't even be my friend.

   All this will end.

   I'm late to my wedding.

   I'm late to my wedding.
