Burn

OTHER

The heat of the flames

Radiates off on me

As I stare into the fire

Burning...rage....sadness...

Things thrown in as sacrifices

To feed the fire

Can I be a sacrifice?

Just this once?

Flickering light, glowing warmth

Blanketing me in its orange blaze

Burn...burn...burn

The fire within us all

Scortch me, burn me, hurt me

Kill me!

Burn....burn...burn...

Consume me

For I am nothing.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A requested poem that I write about fire. Very random, indeed...for me, at least.
