Tiger, Tiger

Folder:
CHRIS

Oh, tiger tiger

How I miss your brilliant stripes

And your soft golden eyes

When I think of you

My heart races

I miss you so much

Since you've left me

With nothing but memories

And how hazy some memories are

But I can still see your face

Crystal clear as glass

Embedded in my mind's eye

And in my heart

Tiger, tiger

How wonderful it must be

To be free

Oh, but tiger

My beloved tiger

Couldn’t you come back?

Once more

For me?

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is the very first poem I wrote about my on-going story of the tiger and the rose.
