Lullaby

Can’t sleep so I sing a lullaby
Lullaby to the get the crying soul to sleep
Lullaby to get myself some peace
It’s full of feelings of love
Passion pain sadness and loneness
All the feelings that I must profess
All the feelings that are oh so clear
That brings about the torment that is always here
Sing the lullaby I must sing it clear
To soothe the devils that abides here
The torment is so painful and relentless
But it brings forth a sound that is so pleasant
Such a voice that is so angelic
Has come
From a soul tormented
By the demons magic
The price for art is pain
And after its expression
Theres no true gain
Just a temporary release
From the things that plague me
So I sing the lullaby
I sing it right
It’s the only way I’ll sleep tonight
