Languishing Will

Folder:
Pain/Ilness

As would a dying flower

that droops and wilts

in a heatwave drought,

my will weakens,

hanging listlessly

in declining strength.

Energy sapped from my roots,

petals fall,

one by one

to the ground,

my stem bends downward

in defeat.

My flowering done,

I shall blossom

no more.
