As the World Turned

as the world turned
the world it seemed to lose all control
love, happiness, and trust seemed to vanish
leaving in its place hate, dispair, and dust
as the world turned people began to see each other as enemies and not friends
seeing hurt instead of love the world turned

when the world turned to rust al that was left was the bullet casings from wars of lust
the bodies layer strewn across the dust left careless behind by those who mistrust
leaving those who love and care left it to tear
it seemed that the world as changing marked by lust.

the world seemed to care less and lead about the abandonment it left in its place
the world it seemed was changing leaving those unharmed in place of those who were bleeding
as the world turned

Author's Notes/Comments:

again something i wrote a long time ago. but i feel like it still pertains to what the world is about now a days. it seems that politicians are all about hate, war, and cheating.

Truth

I agree with each and every word. The world is corrupt and it hurts many people to see it this way. It seems there isn't a lot of beauty or love left in this place but your poem proves there is. A beautiful and welcomed breath of pure air. I truly enjoyed reading this one. Keep up the magnificent work.
