crash your universe into me

Folder:
hi skool

i'm packing my bag tonight.

soon i will know what midnight tastes like.

i bet it's bittersweet and a little blue,

i bet it will sting my eyelids and crush my lips.

one by one, hair strands fall to my palm,

cutting though the space between like a razor,

collapsing into a noose that is floating

into space waiting for my mind to rise.

heat shivers in my tight grasp

and the sun never felt so foreign and strange.

the ground is running beneath my feet.

muted wind is keeping me so still.

i feel your crooked fingers tracing my skin.

under the milky way, we bleed yellow.

our pores explode with beasts and fire

sent up to the man in the moon as gratitude.

jupiter is raining once again.

the feeling is squeezing through my ears

and falling to my wary feet,

leaving me to faint into the galaxy.

dawn comes over my fingertips

telling these glassy eyes to open yet again.

starry night flashes its bloody battle to the world,

i swallow the universe and i am whole again.

I can't

remember what I wrote in school, that was at least seven lifetimes ago.I can't remember what I wrote yesterday...at least I have the date stamp to remind me it was written then. I am very impressed with your writing, all of it. Your symbols of thought, the use of language to depict life it is the new literary of the literal and it brings a kind of virtue to this world of virtually reality. Is it possible for most modern humans to fathom? We see it every day the buzz of digital visions but is there any real serious use of language into our rational worlds? What would human life be like without poetry like yours?

There are several other excellent writers here. I hold you and them in very high esteem.

Peace

Dylan
