Dark Desires

The moonlit darkness blankets the earth

And the demons crawl outside my mind

Like endorphins releasing

My mind deteriorating

How did I let myself go this far

Insolvent by nature

Never was I

Supposed to be a part of the crowd

Always watching from the outside

While the many voices inside make up their minds

Soliciting sin

Never was I

Supposed to share this weight of misery

Built strong enough to carry it alone

Trust in me and delve in madness and regret

These dark desires are taking over

The closer I get, the more it hurts

Lights like a flame then it fades away

Speak softer, scream louder

These dark desires have taken over

I can see the fire ignite inside of her

One more time before it ends

I swear it'll never happen again

The tightrope can't brace the dance

It snaps in two

Like a glass pane shattering

All I hear is screaming
