Under the Sun

All I thought I had in me

All I thought that I could do

Exposed by day as dreams

Slowly fading from my view

Fade into a darkness

As black as my closed eyes

That no longer see the sun

Still burning in the skies

Bathing Earth in glory

Giving life and lust and heat

And all desires deeply felt

To warm the world complete

I wish again for night time

And deceit with dreams respun

Not knowing that I'm nothing

Somewhere beneath the sun

WOW! I usually don't enjoy poems with so much pathos, but this is a really smooth poem. Really well done. Love, aly
