Yes we had plans, and now we have sorrow

But who gives a shit about the world of tomorrow

The roses are dying and our time is almost up

There’s no time to care about when you grow up

You’re all out of luck and your skills are all dead

You’ll spend your whole life just getting ahead

Live your life now and damn you live it good

Don’t always think about life like you should

There’s plenty to say and not enough time

You can’t say enough before the end of the line

What’s all the point if it’s fake in the end

We treat ourselves like a garden we have to tend

We take pills to stay healthy and drink to stay happy

We cut through the pain when we are feeling crappy

We eat to fill holes that aren’t in our stomach

Trying to get over that large seeming hummock

They say there’s a trophy, some big silver lining

This fills us with hope like it’s something worth finding

There’s joy in the mystery and pain in conclusion

It’s all a big journey to an unfortunate solution

They say watch a movie for its brilliant ending

Even if the journey needs some serious mending

My problem is that I don’t care for life in the least

But babe I’ll let you be beauty if I can be your beast

I’m rough around the edges but I have some charm

I’ve got a shitty past but I mean you no harm

If I’m living for now then I’ll say it loud and clear

I don’t like being in this world without you near
