A Drive in The Country….

Stars breaking through the wind shield

And so are you with the screams of children that follow you

my heart skips a beat

And I wonder how long it will take

For me to fall into your blade of sincerity

The cement has never looked so pretty

a glistening reflection now starring up at me

Smudge with that perfect smile

As your eyes begin to burn out

There’s your face staring back at me

A plastic doll with so many sorrys

And your last whisper

Peel back the skin so the alcohol can touch your lips

Numbing an emotion is worth tragedies like this

And when you pull an inch, the bottle to your lips,

Do you see a face

As the ebony connects, can you taste this pain?

You broke me…
