Pretty Woman

I think about you often,

Although I don't know why,

I sometimes think I look like you,

It used to make me cry.

He liked you so much more than me,

But we have the same face,

And we've both got pretty bodies,

That we'd dress up in pretty lace.

He was your world,

He was mine, too.

I apologise from taking

him from you,

But you know why I did it,

'Cause you did it to her,

So I guess it's not a case of who he prefers.

He just enjoys the chase,

The thrill turned him on,

It's our own stupid fault for thinking

he was the one.

Another thing in common that the two of us share,

Is that we never admit that something was right there,

In front of us both like a warning sign,

I think I wanted him more when you said 'He is mine'.

You threw your body at him,

I did just the same,

He was never going to choose,

He was loving being our game.

Getting at each other by fucking pout his brain,

Let's face it, darling,

We're exactly the same.

When all is said and done,

It was just down to our pride.

We're more Pretty Woman than Blushing Bride.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Too little, too late and all that. But she knows it's for her.
