Another year has ended

Another has begun

Its time to throw away your old calendars

All those dates circled are now done

So we party and we drink

To commemorate those that we hurt

And we watch the ball drop

Like it’s a bomb that will change the earth

New years day lets all hug and lets kiss

Lets pretend the world has now ended

And that we get a second chance

What a great feeling to have

To wipe away any regret

Let our defenses again fall

Like balloons from a net

But lets wait until tomorrow

Lets document its change

Lets try to remember last night

Try to see the picture through the grains

Things need to be better this year

I just can’t remember where they went wrong

But I guess disappointment sticks out

And happiness comes as quick as its gone
