It is near impossible

To fall asleep



i lay here for hours

Tears running down my cheeks

Waiting for sleep to come



Pretending You are here

Trying to trick my body

Into believing it is true



Thinking of Your touch

The feel of Your kisses

The weight of Your arm across me



With You next to me

Mere minutes is all it takes

To fall asleep

Feeling safe and warm

Peacefully falling asleep
