Light Request

If there is one thing I ask,

i promise, just this one task,

it is that you take this pain away.

Right now, this is the only thing I pray

that you will help me with

because I don't know how to handle it.

So I will turn it over to you,

the One I know will see me through.

You have never let me down,

so why would You start now?

I will put trust in more

than trivial pleasure that end with closed doors.

My eyes are a little wider now.

You, my strength, will show me how

to push forward

and make my voice heard.

To stand out like a light

and fight the Fight

with your ever burning light

shining bright.
