The Moon and I

Today's rain was so lonely. It fell as gently as a cherry blossom from a tree, but landed like a meteor with such a pounding force on my face. Each drop as heavy as the last, with such a light constant deafening sound. What made it worse was the moon. It covered itself up so coldly in its dark dismal clouds. Ignoring everyone that might’ve liked to be there to see it. But how can you blame it? An eternity of loneliness, the brief company of a passing shooting star. Why so cold? We’re not so different though you and I. Lonely, tears falling from our faces, hiding behind something as to not show how we feel. And the passing shooting star… So quick.
