She Flies

Carrying mountains on slender shoulders

She continues to heal despite her knowledge

Taking the blame for eternal sorrow

And feeling the pain of a certain tomorrow

Here, within, lies her beauty

Unable to be quenched

By haunted souls

Or desperate cries

She flies

Lifting that burden with the frailest of wings

She fights, overcomes & defies her sins

To expel the guilt that is raping her

And feeling the triumph about to concur

With the liberation of love

And freedom of soul

Through divine strength

And spiritual ties

She flies

You certainly do have your sentimental moments :) It's quite beautiful to witness.. as is this amazing verse of poetry. And I knowing who it is written for.. makes it that much more beautiful to me.. a beauty indescribable, is she... indeed.
