River N O W

Three streams there are - three rivers of import,

Their powerful waters blessed by the Lord,

Their uncontaminated flow is clear;

“Drink deep from them” - drink deep and without fear!

In tranquil course, and efficacious tide

Both Lethe and Enoe gently glide,

Their potent water, pregnant, rich and smooth

Will cure the festering wound, and rankling bruise.

The first stream - Lethe - drink! - and you forget

All evil, woes and ills that may beset,

Drink from the second stream - Enoe - deep,

And you awaken from oblivion‘s sleep.

Your drinking by Enoe’s blessed shore

Will the lost  memory again restore,

Remembered will be  only what is good,

By drinking deeply from this time-bound flood.

But memory regained will speak at last:

“Without your deed I'llatrophy and rust!

Shore up this mush with strong a girdling case,

Then pour and when dried well, you have a base”.

Sink steel prongs into slush to thus erect

The armature  - Hail sculptor architect!

When this is all accomplished then proceed

To build the monument by Works and Deed.

The Third Stream is the timeless River NOW,

Step into it! - submerge, - and then let go,

It beckons weary wanderers: Come! Come!

Stop arduous swimming,- NOW takes you right home.

"Dip deep into my rippling waves to see,

In every smallest thing infinity.

You need no more be Time’s subservient slave,

I'll get you to your goal secure andsafe!".

"No need there is to swim laboriously,

I carry you myself - securely,

Be not afraid dear pilgrim, - step in: “Come!

NOW ! - and I'll take you right to port and Home!
