From winter solstice’s  craggy cusp and horn

Looks down to us the fish-goat Capricorn-

Ambitious climber extraordinaire-

Task-master purposeful and strict  but fair.



Caps’ element is earth and stories tell

That goats are grounded in it very well.

Their quality is CARDINAL and large

Ambitions’ train - Goats likes to be in charge.

Hardworking, disinclined to sulk and mope,

Prefer strict Protocol to Horoscope.

Are practical, trustworthy, generous,

And scan with interest the Pleiades.



With diligence they tap the secret vaults

In spheres celestial searching  for results.

Love keen analyses and perfect score,

When stocks and bonds and market prices soar.



In full control of power’s pity bone-

They will excel in any combat zone,

Caps’ energy is feminine - the YIN-

Upholds the rules, decrees and discipline.



Dependable, strong,  stable, solid, fit,

With balanced views of things, efficiently

Obdurately Caps work and  “stick-to-it!"

And make a valued asset to their  company.



Good judge of character's integrity,

The goats a-plenty have ability

Life’s  tribulations firmly to withstand,

But make dependable a faithful  friend.



In all they do, the Caps are practical,

Resourceful, self-contained, traditional

Do things on their own terms, the Cap defies,

Cajoling flattery or compromise.



Saturn bestows keen concentration and

The rare capacity for work sustained,

When others ‘neath their trials stoop and bend,

Goats reach the top as if by accident.

For Sagittairs shoot well but know no Greek;

Caps’ sign is very sacred, for beneath

The fish-goat wings the thing called  “TIME” will cease.



Saturn will dim and slowly vaporize-

Time’s measurements dissolve into the skies..

Chronos will be dispensed with,- and I pray

Lord pity all of us on Judgment Day.!
