When I See Old Glory

Folder:
Under God

I see her waving in the air

In all her majesty

Old Glory’s stars and stripes forever

From sea to shining sea

I’m reminded once more of the grace

Our God has shed on we

The people of the United States

On we, the brave and free

She almost sings as she swings

From her pole with glee

An emblem of expressive art

And author’s liberty

A poet’s pet of no regret

A penman’s dear friend, she

I love the glory that I find

When I gaze at Old Glory

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just a reminder of the liberty that we as authors and poets have here in America
