Our Season Ends

The Season is Over

Do you feel the Change in the Air?

Or Smell the Flowers yet Unbloomed

A thousand colours under Cloudless Skies.

Have you lately looked

At these castles we built in the sand?

Can you see them being slowly washed away

Little by Little with each New Tide?

And we, you and I, die by degrees.

Yeah, we had a good run.

We fumbled blindly, made our Mistakes

But at least we can say we really Tried.

Together, we chased our Dream.

But I guess we're slowly starting to see

You can't catch what you can't Touch.

Dreams are insubstantial things

Our fingers pass right through.

Did you know I'm not this person you see?

With a mind full of Accusations

And a Mouth full of Venom

I'm not going to Force you to give to me

These things I want to much.

And Baby, I shouldn't have to.

So do you know if I was meant to be your Lover?

Or am I supposed to be your closest friend?

Maybe the Mother you Should have had

The one who never leaves your side.

Or am I supposed to let you go now?

Let these Dreams of ours go to sleep.

I really hope not because I'm so afraid

Of a world without your Laugh

Where your blues eyes may look

Lovingly upon another.

Did you notice the trees are turning green?

Soon there will be the smell of Fresh Cut Grass

I love you so much, but I'm running out of Poems

And when every season Ends

So a new one Begins.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Not much to say about this one. I think I'd rather comment on it later. Forgive me?
