I don't want to say any goodbyes

Denial about you going

Everything is changing

I don't want tears to show

What will make it harder

What will be less pain

I wish so badly that I knew

But I'm struggling just the same

I can't tell you all the things

That I'm wishing you could hear

I don't know that I can make you understand

Why it's you I choose to hold near

I wish that you could be me

And know that I speak the truth

That you'll go out and find a life

To make all your dreams come true

The gaps that have grown

Will soon be replaced with new

And I hope so much for you

That you'll find those things real soon

I wish that I could see you

Everytime there was a smile on your face

I wish that I could hold you

When you know you've found your place

.....I just wish a lot of things right now

.....I wish everything for you

.....but I guess I wish for me too.
