Your words

Your words cut deeper

than you might believe

They move into my mind

and plants a seed

A seed that'll soon

grow into a dreadful hate

that will make me numb

and make me suffocate

Your words are colder

than you might think

I feel so small

your words make me shrink

your words hit me like a storm

on a quiet day

and make me wish

you could just go away

Your words are as cold

as ice

you never hold your words back

you never think twice

You keep saying that

your words are for my own good

but if you knew how hard they hit

would you stop if you only understood?
