Is today any different from other days? Yes !! A new month begins today with new hopes and possibilities though some may not be so nice. For example I may get afflicted with Japanese Encephalitis or Dengue .Both the diseases are mosquito borne.The former is fatal !! The latter leaves the victim fatigued and sapped of all energy after about 10 days despite proper diagnosis and medicines. Poor patients hardly are back to full bounce beacuse of improper diet.Children waste away rapidly after a dengue attack. Some unfortunate ones die because blood platelet count falls below normal and they can't afford platelet transfusions. I thank God for not being afflicted with JE or D upto 31st Aug.What will happen tomorrow I don't know.Astrologers make a tidy living foretelling the future  Can anyone tell me what I'll have for lunch tomorrow; or which is the number of the public bus which I shall board tonight ?? No.. they can't answer these simple queries. Their focus is on "big" things.. money,love,...About an hour back I had been to a public place.There I glanced at a mans fingers.He wore 4 rings on his 4 fingers all with different gemstones.He was a below middle income group.I truly wonder if the stars in the sky are the makers of man's destiny which gemstones can change  In any case I'm happy and reasonably healthy and have enough money to make both ends meet unlike millions of others on this wee planet. So my dear gemstone peddlars and fortune tellers as well as lottery ticket vendors please don't waste your valuable time on hard-selling your wares.
