Tears
Toddler sniffling,sobbing,nose drooling
Incessant tears from wondrous eyes
Like clear sparkling raindrops from the skies
Cause of tears? the bursting of a mere balloon
Buy him another and his face lights up like noon
The turbulent ,anxious sleepless night
Preparing for the "greatest fight"
English examination for Class eight
Results emerge very soon after
Teenage tears of joy followed by laughter
School is over ,college classes have ended
Youngster is happy for the degree contended
In his tiny childhood room a drop he sheds
His heart feels leadened and heavy
Yearns for a fragment of school............
Ten,twenty,grows to thirty grands
Monthly take-home salary package
Two decades have passed ..now mid-age
His dear loving elders have left him
Tears trickle down... his face is grim
He is now old- the Zombie Frankestein
He has all he wanted save his yesteryears
His"body machine" is now on ventilator
He is mortally scared - death he fears
He is leaving us ! should we shed tears?
