bishupoetry The tall water tank--- one thousand gallons
On it sat three hawks with sharp talons
Early spring afternoon-- warm and sunny
I thought I saw something which was funny
The steel water tank painted with red lead
Perched on stilts of steel-- a tripod stand
Vagrant crow and sparrow faeces dried on top
I imagined the tripod tremble...will it drop?
Beside an asphalted busy street the tank stood tall
My wanderind mind revelled at the sight of its fall
The tripod stand steel pipes buckled and swayed
Like a drunken alien whose limbs were slayed
It tottered,it wavered,it swayed and I prayed
I willed it to fall on the busy traffic-laden street
"That proud alien ! make it fall at my feet!"
The wind blew hard and stiff ,dark clouds gathered
The street lights switched on "Fall fast",I ordered
The proud three-legged Alien fell with a crash
A sight was more enjoyable than a party bash
Cars crunched,windscreens shattered,the street was a mess
I enjoyed like a sadist....................... a Devil in human's dress
The clouds blew away,the wind fell,the sky cleared
The sun again shone clear but something was wrong
The tank hadn't really fallen........it was just a fantasy
If you also imagine such stuff,believe me,its pure ecstasy
