My Popeye Avatar

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It was worth a million

The spinach chewing man

Never ageing nor sad

Always enjoying life

With special scrawny Olyoil

Sight of Bruno made his blood boil

His inspiration was his Pappy

Sleeping in hung hammocks

Midst the salty sea breeze

Oh Popeye you were my soul

Can't you return

to my battered frame

I'm not yet dead you know

I'll again stand at the bow

Feel the sea breeze

On my face and muscles

Don't mess with me

I've got spinach power

Even after dying I'll scribble

Many boats have left

I won't leave so soon

I stare at the silver moon

Thinking about those lost

I've a rock steady compass

Plus the company of youths

I never did care for big mouths

Let them be happy

"With mirth and laughter

let old wrinkles come.. "
