My Word

My word is all I got,

Regardless if I put it on paper or not.

If I write it, you'll see it, If I say it,It'll be heard.

Regardless of either way, it's still just my word.

My word is mind, And I try to keep it true.

Cause what I say will follow me no matter what I do.

When I'm broke with no money, I still have my word.

When I'm feeling a little lonely, I still have my word.

When my friends won't come around, I still have my word.

When life has me down, I still have my word.

So whether you like it, spite it, or not,

Take it for what it's worth, cause it's all that I got

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this to best explain me and how I try to live. No matter what we do, our word always comes first, then the pen and paper follows.
