Tears

Folder:
blue

Tears of sorrow flow like rain,

feelings that ache with such pain.

To want and need and never get,

tears turn to rage if you then let,

Yourself be guided by your heart,

to open yourself up from the start.

And knowing now it will never be,

this sorrow I think will stay with me.

It is our tears that define the humanity we are. "Tears" make us humane enough to be called human. Yet, we handle the emotions that arise with our tears can make or mar our humanity. For me, we need to cry. Sometimes, it's the purgation we need to start the process of healing after pain and sorrow. Thank you so much, Liz, for your "Tears". They mine too; and that of all humanity!
