A Few Odds and Ends.

If Columbus discovered America why are we told that the Human Race started off in Africa? Surely it would have been the Indian Peoples that walked across the northern ice from Europe into the Americas. It has always irritated me this assumption that Columbus discovered America while looking for a route to India.

Was Marco Polo really the first European to go to China and bring back so many secrets known only to the Chinese How did silks come to Europe and did the silk caravans really cross that huge tract of desert lands to reach China and bring Silk back to Europe or was it one of the Arab Nations using the Camels for transport?

Who made the first reports of Adam and Eve with their two sons Cain and Abel, Why should I believe what some story teller put about to explain where the Human race came from. Myself I tend to think that mankind, although most people shudder to think that we descended from Monkeys and or Apes with their many relations are an offspring from the tree inhabitants of long, long ago. I place my money on Charles Darwin. Not on a book that has no real evidence to support it. And yes believe it or not I have read the Bible many times. As a story it makes good reading but only as a story. No factual evidence. Another thing if it was so evident that the human race sprung from Adam and Eve, why have so many other nations developed religions of their own. Take India for example so many Gods and Goddesses who is to say that the Indian Nation with its many religions are wrong.

What will come next in this day and age of scientific experiments? We have moved into space. What comes next to mystify our longing to become God Like with the knowledge that a God must have to be omnipotent? What I wonder will come after we the human race have terminated our stay here on the planet Earth. Will it be to conquer space in the sense of warring with other species which I am sure exist in the vast universe that we in our feeble attempts to have complete knowledge of all that surrounds us. Sometimes I think that the ants are much better off with their tiny lives. Will perhaps the ants be the next race to take over the world we call Earth? A few odds and ends from Bern
