The Little Folk in Paris France.

The Little Folk In Paris France.

In Paris France on the Seine’s left bank,

The little folk decided to play a prank.

All the water in the Seine they coloured blue,

You have my word for it that this is true.

The People of Paris were much dismayed,

By this silly prank the little people played.

The Mayor of Paris one Jacques Pierre,

Rubbed his hands in silent despair.

Why did they pick my beautiful city?

A deep blue Seine is not so pretty.

The little folk laughed with glee,

For they are as mischievous as can be.

The Arc de Triumph, they painted red,

In Notre Dame they all went to bed.

By early morning light Paris had another sight,

The Moulin Rouge they had painted white.

The Eiffel Tower they coloured light pink,

French red wine they poured down the sink.

The People of Paris did not know what was wrong,

The list of pranks was getting rather long.

Jacques Pierre asked for help from the Fairy Queen,

A Paris like this had never been seen.

The Fairy Queen called the little folks to a meeting,

She scolded one and all at the royal greeting.

The little folks complained they had nothing to do,

They were bored stiff and there was nothing new.

The Fairy Queen sent them all back home,

With very strict orders never more to roam.

She apologised to Monsieur Jacques Pierre,

To paint old Paris was not very fair.

With a wave of her wand all was made good,

Paris now looks, as it always should.

No sign left of the little folk’s pranks

From the Mayor of Paris she held eternal thanks.

Now if you think that I am telling a lie,

I cross my heart and hope to die.
