Goodbye



Simply put,

I no longer care

For the sounds of screaming

That hang heavily in the air

Your hateful words

Bring to mind

The pain you once caused

And the fear on which you dined

So I force myself

To turn away

And block you out

As I leave you today

Over the echoing of my steps

I can hear your screams

And the tremor in your voice

As you understand what this means

You know now that I'm leaving

That I'll never come back

No begging or pleading

Can put us back on track

No more screams

No more pain

No more tears

And no more using me for your own gain

I'm through with you

I'll no longer take this

No longer will your games revolve around me

So I'm leaving you now, with one last kiss...
