Lizards

I walk into the room;

There are lizards everywhere;

Slithering, creeping, crawling;

Lizards on the floor;

Lizards on the ceiling;

Lizards in my hair.

I say to the woman;

What is this?

The House of the Lizard King?

Do I look like a king to you?

She says in reply;

Turns into a lizard;

And slithers on bye.

I run in fear;

I run in horror;

I run real scared;

Slipping, sliding, fleeing, falling.

The doctor says;

Man, you got 500 white cells for every red one!

Six weeks later;

I walk away;

Done.

Me and the Lizard Queen;

Have been married ever since.
