Shakira, my sister's white dog

About 14 years ago, my sister received a beautiful gift for her 18th birthday. The box was wrapped in white with a simple red bow on top; it was nothing out of the ordinary until my sister finally opened it. Inside of the box was a very small white puppy sleeping so profoundly. The puppy was so small that it was curled up in one corner of the gift box and was so sleepy that it didn't wake up for anything, but after a few minutes all of a sudden it was trying to open it’s little eyes for a second to see what all the noise was that my family was making, it looked around the room and seemed to not care at all because it just curled back up and fell back asleep. That’s how Shakira, my sister's dog, came to our house. My sister named the puppy Shakira without thinking twice about it, she often has that habit with animals in our house we have a variety of celebrities like Thalia and Naomi Campbell.
Whenever I think about my sister, I always think about her small puppy. They were always together and never went separate ways. They ate together, slept together, and one day I came to find out that they even showered together, they were inseparable and I think that’s why she quickly became part of our family. Shakira would go running with my mom every morning and would play with my brother and me. Sometimes, when nobody else wanted to, she would even go hunting with my dad and come home to sleep beside my sister. The little puppy was becoming more and more like a celebrity, earning her name day by day, she became very famous with the rest of the family. Everyone was always talking about her including my friends from elementary school, then my friends from middle school, then also my friends from high school and even my friends from the university knew about her. Shakira was present for many unforgettable events like my 18th birthday, my sister's wedding, even my brother’s graduation. The day she died we all lost a very good friend and companion, but my sister lost her best friend. Shakira lived over a decade and even after her death my sister and our family still remember her with love, even my dad to this day still thinks and remembers Shakira dearly. She started out as just a pet for my sister, but in the end she was unconditional companion to us all.
