MY YOUNG FRIEND

My young friend, my young Creation,

I know things are tough, right now,

but just remember I will always love you.

Just remember, I’ve placed people in your life

who can help you deal with any situation

just by letting you talk to them about it;

people who won’t repeat a thing said by you.

Just remember, also that I am always here, Myself

if you feel you can’t go to anyone else.


Author's Notes/Comments: 

For Robert, wherever you may be today.  You cam eto church (with your foster parents) and I saw you grow, I saw you give your life to Jesus, and I saw the Joy with which He replaced your sorrow.  Then DHS said it was time for you to return to your mom, and I haven't seen you since.  I still pray for you, often.  May you remain in His Joy, and in His Light.

thank you god for friends you send in our lives who are there for hard times. thank you tom for this poem. i pray too that your friend robert is doing well. walking closely to god who loves him very much.
