Women 40plus

I thought I'd wrote a Poem for women in distress,

for the day they suddenly look around and think their lifes a mess.

the years they bring up children, cope with problems big and small,

wipe their noses, clean their boots, be at their beck and call,

Husbands stop looking just leave you to cope,

put it down to P.M.T. if you sit and mope.

The children have all grown and finally left the nest,

you think you can sit back and take that well earned rest,

BUT soon you'll find your days and nights are troubled,

you'll turn around and you will find your family's MORE than doubled.

What happened to you thoughts of leisure times and walks,

of sitting with your husband having Man to Woman talks,

Instead each room seems full, theres never any peace,

Just problem after problem, they ALL seem to increase.

Its now you need your Husbands big strong arms to unfold,

and come and take away from you this Very heavy Load,

The grown children they must realise when they get in a mess,

NOT to run to mother because She cannot take more stress.

When you've been a Young Mother and you reach 40plus,

you want a life of your OWN and an END to all the fuss,

You think your alone and wrong to feel this way,

but LOTS of Women fell like this every single day.

Now Husbands DO take notice if this happens to YOUR Wife,

YOU must take over, take away ALL her worry and her Strife,

should the children start fighting YOU tell them where to go,

and you will find the Wife turns back in the girl you USED to know.

Footnote

A word to Husbands feeling Nifty,

Do take care, be AWARE you'll go through this at FIFTY........
