Sweet Child of Darkness

Sweet child of darkness...

I call to thee to bring to me a life worth living.

Open my spirit.

Set my soul free.

Turn each of my tears into a bed of crimson roses.

This cage in which I dwell... open it!

I beg of you!

Pleading with all of my heart.

This mask that I wear allows me to hide.

But from you I wish to hide not.

Undo my disguise.

Behold who I am.

Love me with the desire I've never sought.

Seduce me with the words I've never said.

Bring me to life with the world that I've never imagined.

Take my hand, sweet child of darkness.

Within your voice, I find comfort.

Within your eyes, I find perfection.

I soar from insanity and confusion.

You sing of my being as I wish to sing of yours.

Free me of these constraints.

These shackles that that keep me from you.

Grant to me opportunity.

Give to me my liberty.

Allow me to come to you.

To succumb to your touch.

To bask in your warmth.

To awaken my body within you.

Sweet child of darkness...

Grant to me permission to speak.

To say as I will of the undying love

that I wish to one day share.

To finally let the world know of my existence

and not be ashamed.

Show me mercy of all sorts.

Lead me down that dark corridor lit only by the fire that burns within you.

Allow me to taste the poison of your passion and to

relish in the feel of your arms around me.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was written under the inspiration between a dream that I'd had and my favorite movie.
