I may not be pretty enough

To be a model in on a magazine.

I may not be smart enough

To get a bachelor's degree.

I may not be skinny enough

To be the apple of your eye.

I may not be sweet enough

For you to care to say goodbye.

However, I am strong enough

To tell you that I don't care.

However, I am strong enough

To show what my heart can bear.

However, I am strong enough

To prove to I'm not that weak.

However, I am strong enough

To stay up on my feet.

You may not think I'm ready

For all the world will give.

But I know I'm a fighter,

And that's enough to live.

So here's the point I'm trying to make,

I'll hit straight down to the bone:

One day I'll be good enough,

I'll no longer be alone.
