The War of Love

to you my dearest friend

who has lost the way

cant you see the habits

of this deadly game

what dont you know

that i can shine a light

to destroy those childish doubts

that bind you to this blight

you are so wonderful

much more than you can know

why dont you just hang up

is it that hard to just let go

there is no love in fighting

there is no winner of war

though you may believe your cause is just

do you know what your fighting for?

The question you pose in this poem is quite profound. Is the pain of trying to hold onto love worth it? Is love really worth fighting day after day for. To each his own, but the presentation of this question is idea and can easily apply to everyone.
