setting my wonders free

a gift

a hope

dreams come true

As I watch

I see you grow

you change the things I think I know

your beauty and dreams unfold

you've caught my life

you scare me so

for I am just a man

my failures are not hard to see

how can I hope to be

the father that I see you need



Baby, life takes its tolls

the things you love will come and go

faith will fade

and hopes grow old

feelings will often leave you cold

So please remember what is true

weigh the thoughts that come to you

take care for pride that grips your soul

keep your heart from letting go

It matters how we live our days

this life is not a game to play

it's precious as the price that's paid
