Across The Threshold



I remember you from way back when

But now you are gone

Like a candle blown out by the wind

And it’s been so long



My dear, I have searched for so long

In hopes of reuniting

I’ve gone through hell and still stand strong

But I’ve yet to accomplish anything



I’ve crossed the threshold, hell and back

In hopes of finding you

I know what it is I lack

I’ve become whole just for you



I’ve traveled deserts and conquered mountains

Seeking whom it is I love

I travel, knowing not what lies ahead

But of my goal I am certain

Finally, our paths intertwine

I have finally found you

My love, will you yet again be mine?

My heart cries out for you



And yet again, you’re in my arms

Where for certain, we’re free from harm

Nothing can push us away
