Still Christ Mass

Folder:
Unlisted Works...
Once gathered folk
This celebration
To birth... a savior!
And worship that which lay in heart.

Tradition waned
Material gained
Amassed to Christ
To sake vanity.

No longer a holy day
A life's winter
And world's vacation
And reason drawn to pocket's depth.

Aggravated propaganda
Suggesting religion oppressed
Hushed tones and held tongue
Abrading love to courteous notions.

So like Christlove
Bowing to forgiveness and tolerance
The feelings are hidden away
To not be mirrored as enough taken.

So are we tamped
As a blaze to an ember
Voices silenced
As those loving Narcissus.

As someone born into one

As someone born into one ofbthe many Christian faiths, I find it a beautiful thing to have an opportunity to exercise gratitude and humility, and especially so during the holiday season as an offering to the baby Jesus on "his birthday" (whenever it was).  A fitting gift for he....such a special person like many other spiritual leaders of the past who walked this earth. Some people will always think of ways to fight.  While others will always think of ways to unite. It gets down to walking your talk. A lot of Christians aren't used to practicing those virtues that they supposedly built the foundation of their church on.

"There are many roads that lead to the top of the mountain".

Which do you choose?

...happy holidays.

....

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
