QUESTIONS For the first time,
Since the "Dawning of Man",
When counting the Dead and the Living,
That we, NOW, have reached the point…
Where the living…out number the dead.
When did we pass that fragile threshold,
How did we overcome infant mortality,
How did we overcome polio, tuberculosis, famine,
When did we start surviving floods, tornados, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes…
In higher record numbers?
And how can this be accurate,
When we choose to infect ourselves with AIDS…
When did we give Cancer…THE DETOUR?
And yet, we still KILL…
How many wars, over at times, SCRAPS of land?
How many millions have died in domestic squabbles,
How many of those were CHILDREN?
When will an industry rise, and say,
WE CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO LIVE…
LIVE LIFE WITH NO WORRIES…
NO OPPRESSION…
NO VIOLENCE….
NO CATASTROPHE…
Instead of the industry that gouges the living to bury their--
DEAD?
When it "takes" all of the money some people have…
Even after sizeable hospital bills…that are NOT paid…
Because their loved one dies in a drive by shooting.
How can they say, the living now out number the dead…
When the victimization is never ending?
How many crucifixions will there be of innocense?
BEFORE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND…
…the living are already dead…
…and the dead are living...
because death has all to kindly set them free.
