Dear Jesus, I just stopped by tonight

to say a word or two.

You have always been a part of me,

and I, a part of you.



I am so sorry I sometimes let you wait

for days to hear me pray.

I always know you are here for me

and I call on you today.



Times have been very hard Dear Lord ~

So many questions I now have.

I know you hold the answers

Within your loving hands.



On the eve of this new Easter

I know I am held within your care.

You are the risen son of God

I KNOW that you are there.



Please help me to remember

why you hung upon the cross

Whisper to me gently

"My Child, you are not lost"



I have often wanted

To put my praise upon a page.

So, Dear Jesus,

with my simple words ~

I have picked today.



For all that read this simple prayer

I have come to say

"If you do not know this man named Jesus

Search your heart for him today."



Tomorrow with the rising sun

Remember the story of the cross.

For with a very simple prayer

Your soul no longer will be lost.



Oh you will often question

But he always finds the way

To make known to you his presence

When you have gone astray.



This is meant to be a testiment

As well as the prayer I now must say.

Dear Jesus, take me in your hands

I feel a little lost today.
