Addictions

I dance to remember
So I can try to forget
That you see me as more
Then this black silhouette

Check out every night
To return in the morn
And find you sitting there
Your mangled heart torn

I lose you in your bottle
Drown within our pain
How perfect this is
Like alcoholic rain

I hold you for a moment
Then leave you for my knife
Come back to say I'm sorry
I need you in my life

But you've gone way to deep
Into someone else plate
Now I can't receive you
Soul mate

Author's Notes/Comments:

Its funny how things work out in the end but how you think they won't at the time

I dance to remember so I can try to forget..

Cool line, and the poems good too. Everyone should have an addiction or two.

FORTH STANZA- AMAZING. That is gonig to be one of my all time favorite quotes.

Funny how losing one addiction always seems to lead to starting a new one.

good job, i cant believe I didn't see this before

I have never, ever heard anyone else use the word silhouette correctly in a sentence before. That is freeqin amazing. So far, everything of yours that I have read was outstanding.

Dear Ashley
This poem is really good. I like the part when you say "Come back to say I'm sorry I need you in my life." I don't know I just like how it sounds.
