Another Journey

I am about to go on another journey.

I am not so sure about this one.

Could there be more pain and sorrow?

Could I just be made a fool again?

Though the journey could hurt, I am

ready for it.

The pain could remind me that I am

still alive though I may feel dead.

It could give me the strength to move

on with my life and be me.

Though this next journey will take me

far away and to places unknown, I

will follow the paths that are laid

in front of me and see how this

journey turns out.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I am slowly finding myself again.  Since joining the military, I am finding a me that I never knew was there.  I am also preparing to deploy soon and so I have more than one journey ahead of me.  Maybe someone will be waiting for me at the end of this journey.

Some people know that woman was there. I did. you just never truly listened to me.
