Why did the crew of the ghost ship
Go boldly forward into unknown waters?
No guidance or map did they possess?
The stars were not even
a beam or clear guide
on their perilous journey.
The ship had a will of it’s own.
Boldly riding high
on the treacherous waves.
Till at last it stopped running,
Held course in the water
and finally radioed in
for directions
from the captain.
Who safely guided it
back to port.
