Alone at Night

Alone at Night …  by Arjun Vaish

Alone at night

No street lights in sight,

I walk through the lonely street,

Following me is my big dark shadow.

As I walk through the moon lit street,

I see the shadows creeping all around me,

I feel the cold winds blowing and surrounding me,

Like a millions hands are touching me.

The darkness makes me feel dizzy,

The dogs are howling through the night,

My legs are trembling at all times,

I keep myself happy by singing nursery rhymes.

Finally, as I turn the corner, my house in sight,

It gleams magnificently in the moonlight,

I run into the flood lit driveway,

Leaving all my fears and shadows behind.

Simple, but well expressed.

Nice and smooth to go through.
