Dead Inside

Everyday is the same,

I play it just like a game.

People roam, People kill,

I don't which one I will.

When I’m older, you’re by my side,

A respected man, full of pride.

Above the city, High in the sky,

But you left me, that one dark nigh.

I dreamt of you, and our kids,

But were empty jars without lids.

We raise a family on our own,

But you left me, all alone.

I’ve lived my life so far,

But now I will with this scar.

The one you put there, on my heart.

The one that told me we’d never part.

I've failed but I've tried,

I've laughed but I’ve cried.

I've tried to run; I've tried to hide,

And now I know why I'm dead inside.
